Living in the snowy forest of Yakutia, the coldest land on Earth, instead of feeling lonely, Sacha always treasured her freedom.
Located in eastern Siberia (Russia), Yakutia is one of the coldest places on Earth. In winter, the boat gets trapped in the thick ice of the Lena River. This frozen waterway runs for 4,400 km. The scarcity of roads and railways makes the glacier a major highway for you.
Sacha is a reindeer shepherd living alone in the middle of Yakutia’s vast taiga (striking ecology with coniferous forests). Loving freedom, Sacha chose to live alone in the cold of the mountains and her favorite job. Reindeer blankets are a traditional job of the people here.

Three wooden cabins and a simple canvas tent built deep in the forest five years ago were his resting place with hunting dogs. People in the frozen Yakutia region are famous for their health and wellness. They have the ability to swim in the negative ice lake and less sick. The cold environment makes people here only spend 3 hours, sunny time, to go out every day.
If you go to Yakutia, you will admire the small houses to the tall concrete building built on traditional wooden floors. This unique design helps prevent indoor warmth from melting the permafrost below.
Every day, after Sacha’s howl, the reindeer herds would gather. The hounds began to support Sacha’s livestock care by surrounding them. Reindeer live in a herd. In order to sell one in the pack, Sacha had to separate the previous reindeer.
